Hi, I'm Giselle Herrera

Email designer in Seattle helping nonprofits turn opens into action

I believe every nonprofit deserves email campaigns that look as professional as their mission is important.

Too many impact organizations struggle with email design—templates that break on mobile, CTAs that get buried, and teams spending hours on tasks that should take minutes. I started this business because I saw how much potential was being lost in those broken emails.

With a background in user experience design and testing, I now focus exclusively on creating conversion-focused email templates and campaigns for mission-driven organizations. I've helped nonprofits increase their email engagement by an average of 38% and drive significant increases in donations and volunteer signups.

When I'm not designing emails, you'll find me hiking, reading, writing, and walking my pups. I live in Seattle and am passionate about human rights, reproductive rights, diversity, justice, and animal rights.

Founder & Lead Email Designer

Giselle brings 15 years of experience designing consumer-facing digital experiences across enterprise platforms, ecommerce, and fintech, now focused exclusively on helping nonprofits amplify their mission through strategic email design. Her approach combines compelling visuals with conversion-focused interaction design, having achieved measurable results, including a 240% CTR increase and 57.6K new subscriber growth in previous campaigns.

Trained in UX, marketing design, and ecommerce, she's built comprehensive design systems in Figma and knows exactly how to move supporters from awareness to action.

Her data-informed design methodology has consistently improved engagement metrics, from 15% increases in open rates to double-digit gains in user engagement. She's channeling that expertise into nonprofit email design because organizations changing the world deserve emails that perform just as well as enterprise campaigns.

Why Nonprofits?

I didn't start my design career planning to work exclusively with nonprofits. But seeing how much they struggled with their email campaigns despite doing incredible work, something clicked.

I realized there was a huge gap: Nonprofits need sophisticated email design but rarely have the budget for big agencies or the time to DIY it well. I saw how the right email design could mean the difference between hitting a fundraising goal and falling short.

Now, every project I take on reminds me that I'm not just designing emails—I'm helping organizations feed families, protect forests, educate children, and change systems. That's work worth waking up for.

Why Work With an Enterprise Designer?

Most email designers learned their craft on small projects. I spent 7+ years at Amazon, Charles Schwab, and S&P Global—where a single email reaches tens of thousands of users, every design decision is backed by data, and results are measured in real dollars.

That enterprise rigor now benefits your nonprofit. You get:

  • Design systems thinking, not one-off templates

  • Data-informed decisions, not just aesthetic preferences

  • Accessibility compliance baked in from the start

  • Scalable templates your team can actually use

  • User testing to validate designs before launch

Average Client Results:

•       38% average increase in email open rates

•       45% improvement in click-through rates

•       $15K+ additional revenue in first quarter

•       5+ hours saved weekly for nonprofit teams

•       100% mobile-responsive designs
